Claire and Seth- A Brooklyn Wedding

May 18, 2014

Brooklyn has been my home for the past 5 years now and one of my favorite places. I’ve always wanted to shoot a wedding here and Claire and Seth gave me that opportunity. They had one of the most beautiful and fun weddings I’ve ever been a part of. The two of them tied the knot at a gorgeous new venue in Redhook- 501 Union. You would never be able to tell from the photos but it actually down poured all day long. Luckily the venue had skylights everywhere and we were able to get some outdoor feeling shots. Beyond having a beautiful wedding, Claire and Seth are incredibly generous and kind- with a contagious love for each other. I loved getting to know them and working again with yet another couple that is laid back and wonderful. Please check out all of the images here and see a few of my favorites below.

Lauren and Oli

December 9, 2013

I went over board with Lauren and Oli’s beautiful British wedding. I took so many photos that narrowing it down was pretty much impossible. Just ask them ;) This particular wedding was one of my favorites. Lauren and Oli are good friends of mine that live just down the street from me in Brooklyn. They put together one of the most fun and personal weddings in Oli’s hometown in Wales and took me along with them to document it. It was a weekend of perfect weather and some of the most loving people to be around. I will forever be grateful towards them for the opportunity of being such a big part of their day. And as if this wedding could have gotten any better, I had the talented and wonderful Grace Tuppil as my second shooter. She was a dream. I’ve posted a few highlights below but please check out the site I made for them with lots more here.

New Orleans

January 29, 2013

I spent the week between Christmas Day and New Years Eve down in New Orleans with a group of some of my most favorite people. We danced, sang, drank, and I photographed. We even stumbled upon a second line parade, which was by far, the highlight. If you’ve never been, grab your closest friends and make your way down there.

30 Day Creation For You #15:

July 24, 2012

(I have been creating daily…editing a beautiful wedding I shot a few weeks back {photos soon!} and some other shoots in between. But picking right back up where I left off with more posts)

After a series of very unfortunate events a few months back, there were quite a few gems I feel very fortunate for that I got out of it. One of the many gems after the whole ordeal was Matt. Inspiring, hard working, great at listening, and above all, honest, Matt has become a dear friend to me.

I had Matt over for dinner last night before we attempted to see a movie with my roommates. He requested mac n cheese…which I made from scratch for the first time. (Smoked gruyere + cheddar cheese!) Ha, it wasn’t perfect, but a great first try. Accompanied with some arugula salad and wine. The movie we tried to see was sold out so we made due with some giant beers and whiskey shots.

July 5, 2012

It’s been a few days but I assure I have been creating….just shooting a lot, so I haven’t had time to get up specific posts. This is a quick one….made this yesterday for my partner Ryan. It’s an oragami crane…however I thought it looked more like a dragon so I’m gonna go with that.

Ryan started his new job yesterday, so I made him this “dragon” as a sign of success. :)

June 28, 2012

I made this for Amanda.

Olive Oil infused with fresh Thyme and Lavender from our rooftop garden.

Amanda is not only a very close friend of mine and former roommate, but one of the most important friends of mine. Sort of my life line here in Brooklyn and first person I knew in NYC. Lately she’s been on a job search kick that’s not been too kind to her so I wanted to make her something I thought she could use to maybe brighten her spirits. I read that Thyme represents courage and comes from the Greek word “thymon” which actually means courage, so I wanted to add this to her Olive Oil fusion as she goes through the job search process. Lavender has meanings of devotion and purity…which is no stretch to describe the type of friend she has been to me- honest and always there. But also, for me, lavender represents prettiness and that’s something I’ve always thought of Amanda.

I really hope you enjoy Manda <3

June 27, 2012

Last night I had two of my most favorite people in the world over for a rooftop dinner. Pretty much any time spent with them is a great time…or the best time.

I made for us homemade black bean sliders, roasted veggies, and an herb pasta salad. It was a most beautiful night.
